Our Start
HCCI Tactical Training Solutions exists because we have seen what happens when training is treated like a checkbox.
HCCI Protection was built in the real world, not in theory. We built our security company by refusing to accept what this industry has tolerated for too long: low standards, undertrained people placed into real risk environments, and a culture that rewards shortcuts. We did not build HCCI to fit in. We built it to raise the bar.
That same mindset is why this training platform exists.
We are taking the training standards we built for our own armed teams and making them available to civilians, the paramilitary industry, law enforcement, and professional security organizations that want training that actually carries over to the street.

Meet Our Founder: Shane Ammerman
Shane Ammerman is a recognized leader in the field of armed security — a professional whose work is defined by personal resilience, unwavering dedication, and a deep-rooted instinct to protect.
That instinct was forged early, at just eight years old, when Shane stood between his siblings and two abusive men: an alcoholic father and violent stepfather. That moment didn’t just shape his life — it launched a lifelong commitment to protecting others.
Shane later transformed that lived experience into professional purpose, founding HCCI Protection — a Denver-based armed security company that has become a trusted name across Colorado’s private security landscape.
As a certified civilian and law enforcement instructor, Shane has earned the respect of professionals across multiple sectors. He specializes in:
- Weapons training and tactical instruction
- Executive protection
- School and faith-based facility security
- Advanced threat response and facility hardening

Shane’s expertise spans a wide range of real-world security operations, built on both firsthand experience and formal certification. His ability to integrate modern security tactics with the human element of protection has helped elevate HCCI’s role across Denver, Boulder, and the Rocky Mountain region.
His personal journey adds even greater weight to his work. Shane walked through 4.5 years of his late wife Keely’s terminal illness, raising two young sons while continuing to build HCCI with focus and integrity. After her passing in December 2021, he carried both his family and his mission forward without hesitation — proving that his strength isn’t just professional, it’s personal.
Today, Shane’s leadership has positioned HCCI Professional Protective Services LLC as a beacon for vulnerable communities, known for values that are more than words: Honor, Courage, Commitment, and Integrity. As a father, CEO, instructor, and protector, Shane continues to build something that doesn’t just guard — it leads.
