HCCI Tactical Training Solutions delivers a security guard training program built for people who take this profession seriously. We do not train for the lowest standard. We train to prepare you for real-world environments where you are expected to make decisions under pressure and protect people in public spaces.

We train armed professionals only, even if you will work some unarmed posts. The standard has to be higher than the minimum because real threats do not care what your job title says.

HCCI is the owner of the nationally recognized Krav Maga Defensive Tactics Instructor program and we bring instructor-level capability into our guard training. Our cadre includes certified instructors in defensive tactics, ASP, Pepperball, and Orcutt Police Nunchaku. That matters because your skill set cannot stop at paperwork. You must be capable.

Our program is typically 40 to 60 hours and covers both the legal and operational foundations required to function as a professional.

This program is designed to give you confidence, legal understanding, and skill development rarely taught by most companies. When you are expected to protect a client, you must be able to stay calm, think through the scenario, use your environment, and apply the tools you have on you and around you to obtain the safest outcome.

In this profession, the job is not only to protect the client from the threat. Sometimes it is to protect the threat from themselves so the situation ends without unnecessary harm. That requires control, judgment, and capability.

Participants who successfully complete the full program receive a Defensive Tactics Instructor certificate. Some participants may qualify for continuing education credits depending on their agency requirements and governing standards.

The OPN system was created and developed by Sgt. Kevin Orcutt (Ret.) for law enforcement, corrections, and government personnel, with an emphasis on control through pressure, torque, and leverage. It is designed as a less-lethal option for control, compliance, and subject management in hands-on environments.

We are certified OPN trainers, and we are the only non-governmental training organization Kevin Orcutt has ever allowed to deliver this training. That is the result of our quality, dedication, and professionalism, and we uphold his principles and case-use methodology in how we teach and apply the system.

Our team has increasingly adopted OPN because of its usability across a broad range of defensive tactics, including arrest control, detainment, and vehicle extraction.
